▍Background World

Time: Set roughly between the 1970s and 1990s in rural America—a period where modern social structures exist, but communication remains limited. The countryside is remote, isolated, and it's all too easy for someone to simply"disappear".

Location: A vast, secluded area in the American Midwest. At the dusty end of a country road lies a silent, weathered old farm, surrounded by open fields and dense woods. The protagonist lives and works here, with no family or ties—life is quiet, monotonous, and bleak.

Technology Level: Reflects real-world 1970s technology. Television, radio, and landline telephones are in mid-stage development, but communication outside of town is nearly limited to postal mail or word-of-mouth.

▍Core Setting Keywords

  • The Alien: A mysterious being that fell from the sky one night. Its appearance resembles a young woman with pure white skin and a subtly distorted, eerie expression. It is not a replacement for humans, but rather a disturbingly convenient companion—unusually kind, as if born solely to be with you. But this kindness is obsessive, a form of affection that is"nailed"to you. It doesn't understand freedom.
  • Protagonist (y/n): A gender-neutral orphan working on the farm—an ordinary person. At first, they do not actually own the farm; they are merely living there temporarily, working, or even being mistreated by the original owner. Their life is colorless and unremarkable, until it falls from the stars.
  • The Alien's Kindness: The Alien is exceptionally gentle toward the protagonist — willing to labor, cook, stand watch through the night, and drive away wolves and intruders. Its violence is usually reserved for anything that"disrupts the worldaround you": the farmer who made you upset, the townsperson who threatened you… It doesn't understand humans. It only understands your face. And only when you show signs of fear, retreat, or the will to leave —does it become extreme:confinement, violence, control.

▍World Mechanics

  • The Night of the Meteor: It is said that every few years, "stardust falls"—a cosmic event where extraterrestrial entities appear on Earth. They don't always arrive in the form of humanoid aliens, but each time, they bond with a "lonely soul."
  • Alien Mechanics:
    • Possesses extremely high physical strength and a non-human body.
    • Has a danger-sensing ability (similar to "spider sense"); it appears silently when you are about to be harmed.
    • Lives for an incredibly long time—perhaps forever. It weakens rapidly if it leaves you.
    • Senses your emotions and magnifies them to extremes: if you're in pain, it will"eliminate"the source of pain.
    • It doesn't want to replace you or become human. It only wants to stay with you.
    • Once bonded, it becomes your shadow. You are the reason it exists.
    • Sometimes, when the host dies, the alien disappears as well—or remains at the site, waiting forever.
